The Atelier Take
For those who prefer Hilton, one of the most generous hotel cards available; for everyone else, a hard fee to justify.
Who it suits
Hilton loyalists who stay at resorts, fly a few times a year and want top-tier Diamond status without the stays.
Who should skip it
Anyone who won’t visit a participating Hilton resort twice a year: the resort credit is half the card’s value.
Every credit, and the catch
Four credits worth up to $819 a year at face value, plus an annual free night. Most are paid twice a year or quarterly.
Hilton resort credit
Up to $400 a year
Only purchases made directly with participating Hilton resorts, not ordinary Hilton hotels.
Flight credit
Up to $200 a year
Flights bought directly from an airline or through Amex Travel; an unused quarter is lost.
CLEAR+ credit
Up to $219 a year
Only worth something to people who would pay for CLEAR+ anyway.
Annual Free Night Reward
One standard night
More free nights after $30,000 and again after $60,000 of spending in a calendar year.
Waldorf Astoria and Conrad property credit
Up to $100 per booking
Two-night minimum, booked through HiltonHonorsAspireCard.com or Hilton Honors by phone.

TPG values Hilton points at 0.4¢ each, the lowest of the major hotel currencies, so the large multipliers flatter: 14x is about 5.6¢ per dollar, 7x about 2.8¢ and 3x about 1.2¢.
Status and other benefits
Hilton Honors Diamond status
100% bonus on base points, premium Wi-Fi, space-available upgrades and executive lounge access at select hotels.
National Emerald Club Executive
Car rental status, once enrolled.
Global Dining Access by Resy
Access to hard-to-book restaurant reservations.
Will the $550 fee pay off?
Enter what would go on this card. The result values points at TPG’s valuation, adds the credits that would actually be used and, in year one, the welcome offer, then sets the total against a no-fee card that pays 2% back on everything.
