Points Atelier exists to give readers advice they can act on with confidence. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.

Independence

Our recommendations are our own. Card issuers, airlines, hotels and affiliate partners do not review, approve or edit what we publish before it goes live, and they cannot pay to change a verdict or a ranking.

Some links on this site and in our newsletter earn us a commission. Whether a product pays us, and how much, plays no part in whether we recommend it. If the best option for you is one that pays us nothing, that is the one we will name. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Accuracy

Figures in our guides, card reviews and articles (points earned, award prices, transfer ratios, fees, bonus amounts) are checked against the program's or issuer's own source before publication. Our process is set out in How We Verify. Our Daily newsletter also covers news as it breaks. When a program or issuer hasn't confirmed something yet, we say it is reported, not confirmed, and we update or correct it once it is. Where a number depends on dates, availability or your own circumstances, we say so.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research, first drafts and layout. They make us faster, not less careful. A person checks the numbers, reads every piece in full, and approves it before it is published. AI is never the final word on anything we publish.

Valuations and opinions

When we put a value on a point or a mile, we explain how we got there. Valuations are judgments, not facts, and reasonable people disagree. The Atelier Take at the end of each piece is clearly our opinion.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and say so. Corrected articles carry a dated note explaining what changed. Small fixes to typos or formatting may be made without a note.
