Atmos Rewards (Alaska and Hawaiian), explained
The program that replaced Alaska Mileage Plan kept what made it valuable: a published partner chart priced by distance, with stopovers. How Atmos works in 2026, its best uses, the Bank of America cards, and why Bilt is the way in.
Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines combined their programs into Atmos Rewards in August 2025. The name changed, but the partner chart stayed: one-way awards on oneworld airlines and partners such as Qatar, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Starlux, priced by distance and allowing a stopover. Atmos points carry a typical value of about 1.55¢, the highest of any U.S. airline. The catch is getting points in: among the big banks, only Bilt transfers to Atmos.

Where it shines
- A published partner chart, priced by distance, on strong oneworld partners
- A stopover on one-way awards
- No change or cancellation fees
- The highest typical value of any U.S. airline currency
Where it falls short
- Only Bilt transfers in among the big banks
- $20 partner fee per person, each way
- Chart prices are starting levels, and the lowest levels have limited availability
- Card offers and terms are still settling after the merger
The Atelier Take
Worth holding for oneworld business class with a stopover; for most people, Bilt is the practical way to fill the account.
