How to claim it

  1. Register the business for AAdvantage Business on aa.com.
  2. Enter GET15K at sign-up. A business tax ID is required.
  3. Enroll by October 31, 11:59pm Central time.
  4. Miles post six to eight weeks after the promotion ends.

The catch: redeeming

The miles go to the company’s account, not to an individual. Before the business can use them, it has to meet American’s minimum in a calendar year:

RequirementMinimum
Active travelers per calendar year5
Eligible travel per calendar year$5,000
Benefits once qualifiedRest of the year, plus the next

Travelers keep earning their own miles as usual; the business earns a separate balance.

Who qualifies

  • New AAdvantage Business accounts only. Existing members are not eligible.
  • The company’s travel-program lead must do the registration.
  • No status credit: the bonus miles don’t count toward AAdvantage status.

The Atelier Take

Worth it for a business with five or more American flyers and $5,000 in eligible travel a year. Skip it below that, since the miles can’t be redeemed.
