The tier is set by the base Avios in each single transfer. Separate transfers are not added together, so one transfer sized to a planned booking beats several small ones.
Two transfers of 50,000 earn 25,000 in total.
Before you transfer
- Base Avios arrive as normal. The bonus lands by November 30.
- Transfer for a specific booking, in one go, not just to hit a tier. Moving extra points only to reach a higher tier rarely pays.
- Confirm your card’s ratio on Citi’s transfer page before moving points.
- Transfers can’t be undone.
