The Atelier Take
Worth it for the well-traveled who will use the credits without stretching; otherwise the Preferred does most of the work for a fraction of the fee.
Who it suits
Frequent travelers who already book through Chase Travel or The Edit, eat at the kind of restaurants in the Exclusive Tables program, and value lounge access with two guests.
Who should skip it
Anyone who would use only the $300 travel credit. The Sapphire Preferred keeps the same transfer partners (though World of Hyatt is 4:3 from it, 1:1 from the Reserve) and strong travel insurance for $95.
Every credit, and the catch
A $300 travel credit that almost anyone can use, then a long list of lifestyle credits tied to specific brands, half-year windows and end dates. Chase puts the total above $3,000; what counts is how many would be used anyway.
Travel credit
Up to $300 a year
Applies automatically to travel purchases, which then earn no points. The easiest credit on the card.
The Edit hotel credit
Up to $500 a year
Prepaid bookings of at least two nights with The Edit through Chase Travel only. Those rates can be higher than booking the hotel directly, and the credited amount earns no points.
Dining credit
Up to $300 a year
Only restaurants in the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables program on OpenTable, mostly in larger cities.
StubHub credit
Up to $300 a year
StubHub and viagogo purchases only, and only through December 31, 2027.
Apple TV and Apple Music
Worth $324 a year
Only valuable to people who would otherwise pay for these subscriptions.
DashPass and DoorDash promos
$120 DashPass + up to $420 in promos
Promos are for DoorDash orders, groceries and essentials, and unused monthly promos are lost.
Lyft credit
Up to $120 a year
Rides only, through September 30, 2027.
Peloton credit
Up to $120 a year
Eligible Peloton memberships only, through December 31, 2027.
Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS
Up to $120 every 4 years

Points Boost can make points worth up to 2¢ each on selected hotels and flights booked through Chase Travel. Purchases covered by the travel credit earn no points.

Will the $795 fee pay off?
Enter what would go on this card. The result values points at TPG’s valuation, adds the credits that would actually be used and, in year one, the welcome offer, then sets the total against a no-fee card that pays 2% back on everything.
